Program & Services

Meals Distribution

Each week Helping Hands Mission feeds between 300-400 homeless men, women, and children with nutritious and carefully prepared meals. Meals are served both inside the mission’s community room and outdoors (adjacent the Free Library of Philadelphia).

Clothing Distribution

Clothing distribution is one of the Helping Helpings Mission’s core community services. Due to economic crunches, some of our clothing sponsorships have dwindled. This is an invaluable program component that we cannot afford to lose.

Spiritual Edification

Through weekly worship services, bible studies, men’s and women’s fellowships, and other soul enriching activities, Helping Hand Mission strives to feed the human spirit as well as the human body.

Skills Training

Helping Hand Mission endeavors to  support people in need by not only giving them resources, but providing opportunities which will enable them to generate resources of their own. Adding a skills training program in carpentry is carefully being considered by our leadership.
